Many of us know what we need to be healthy - eat your veggies, exercise regularly and get eight hours of sleep. Sounds simple right? Then why is it that so many of us struggle with mental and physical health issues?
What I've learned throughout my studies is that our health isn’t just determined by what we put in our mouths or how much we exercise. Stress, environmental toxins, trauma, and suppressed emotions are all factors that affect our health as well. Our problem is that many of these factors are subconscious, indirect, and accumulative, which is why it's so hard to hold ourselves accountable and know what we need to get better. That's why I take a holistic approach to health, because our minds and emotions affect our bodies just as much as the food we eat. Because we don't need another diet, what we need are the right tools to help us overcome our barriers and a support system to help keep us on track. That's where I come in. As a Meditation/Mindfulness Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, and soon to be Holistic Nutritionist I can work with you to identify your health barriers and support you in overcoming them.
